Welcome to Hawkins Estate

The Hawkins Estate is a thriving rural estate located in the valleys to the east and west of the Malvern Hills. For centuries, fine fruits, fragrant hops and majestic cattle have flourished on this rich and fertile land. Today, our family business is building on this fine tradition, striving for quality and excellence in all that we do. Whether it’s tending our rolling orchards and distinctive hop fields, raising our pedigree Bosbury Hereford cattle or maintaining our historic rural properties, respect for the land is always at the heart of what we do. As long-term custodians of this wonderful landscape, we aim to build upon these secure foundations and prepare and sustain the land for the benefit of generations to come.

About us

A diverse farming business and property portfolio group in the heart of Herefordshire

The Farm at Bosbury and Millend Farm at Castle Frome are located to the north of the market town of Ledbury and to the west of the Malvern Hills.

Manor Farm is located over the border in Worcestershire.  It is situated alongside the River Teme and the River Severn to the south of Worcester in the historic village of Powick, the site of the English Civil War’s Battle of Worcester.

About us

At the heart of the community

Hawkins Estate employs 8 full time workers plus seasonal staff during peak times.   Our positive impact in the local community and economy goes much further through our long standing relationships with trusted partners – tradespeople, suppliers and technical consultants; from agronomists to architects and contractor to builders merchants.

We are committed to the sustainability of the communities that occupy and surround the estate and we work with local schools and colleges offering apprenticeships and work experience for young people.

Our whole team shares a common purpose and respect for the land which provides our living.  We are all proud of the natural beauty of the countryside in which we work and strive to ensure that we work the land sustainably and sensitively, enhancing both biodiversity and landscape where we can.

Our estate is home to families living in properties which date back to the 16th century.  Other buildings include recent high-quality and sensitive conversions carried out by the estate to create much-needed decent, competitively-priced rural housing, ensuring that the area and its community remains sustainable for generations to come.

Environment

Long term sustainability

Whilst tending our rolling orchards and distinctive hop fields, raising our pedigree Bosbury Hereford cattle, and maintaining and enhancing our historic rural properties, respect for the land is always at the heart of it.

As custodians of this wonderful landscape, we aim to build upon its secure foundations and prepare it for the benefit of the next generation and all those who follow on after.
